Two steps:
In System Preferences — Dashboard & Expose — Set one of the screen corners to initialize screensaver.
In security, check the option that requires login password when Mac comes back from sleep or from screensaver.
Make sure you test it before you’ll need to use it for the first time.

In iTunes, go to Preferences, under the Advanced tab and then the Import tab and select the codec you want iTunes to use.

First of all, before these screenlets can become interesting and useful in
a Mac sort of way, Advanced Desktop Effects Settings should be installed so that the Widget Layer becomes available.
To get desktop effects, I aptitude installed compizconfig-settings-manager. Then I aptitude installed screenlets.
To get the screenlets on the widget layer once everything is nicely setup (ie, your widget layer option is enabled and you have your favorite widgets on your desktop) go to the widget layer options, then select the Behavior tab. As of right now, I don’t think that the window type matters, so leave that as it is. It doesn’t matter what the first relation is set to, but for every other window you add in there, the relation has to be set to OR. Ready? Click the Grab button and select your screenlet. Note, you can only add one screenlet at a time.
